Bolivia
The World´s Most Dangerous Road
After exploring all the ancient ruins in Peru, our next destination on our trip was Bolivia. Despite the many warnings from various institutions and embassies, we took the risk and were willing to explore this stunning country as far as possible. Even if the countryside does not change too much once you cross the boarder, it holds some of the most spectacular sites of the world, such as the Salar de Uyuni, its capital which spreads itself over several hundred meters of altitude and of course The World´s Most Dangerous Road, a spectacular descent of more than 3,600m, from snow-covered high-altitude plains down to the Amazonian Jungle.
Downhill ride on The World´s Most Dangerous Road
The later, already a big mark on our itinerary before our travels started, was the main event we planned on doing once we are in La Paz, the capital of Bolivia. Shortly after our arrival, we headed out to book a tour for a downhill ride on The World´s Most Dangerous Road. It did not take us long to find a suitable agency, our ride will be due for the next day!
