How to care for your backpack
In general, backpacks are very easy to care for. Dirt on the outside, however, should be cleaned with a damp cloth. Heavier stains can be treated with a mild soap, but be careful not to ruin the fabric waterproof coating in case your backpack features it. Dry the backpack in a cool and well ventilated place to avoid mildew.
To maintain the zippers’ performance for many years, spray them occasionally with silicone. If your trips take you to dusty regions, do not use silicone or oil since it attracts dust. Just blow away the dirt or clean the zippers with a dry toothbrush in case they jam.
The inside of a backpack should also stay clean. Food remains or liquid stains can cause the fabric to wear prematurely. They can also attract insects and cause unpleasant odour.
